Provides superior service to Harrah’s guests by seeking out guest interactions, maintaining highly visible patrols to ensure a safe gaming experience and supporting other departments so that they may serve guests more effectively.


  • Proactively seeks opportunities to delight guests while patrolling the property to ensure guest safety.

  • Utilizes the Spotlight on Service skills to personalize every interaction with the guest by delivering service with an upbeat and positive attitude and building great relationships.

  • Approaches a line when there are more than 3 guests in any line on property by welcoming and greeting guests and utilizing ice-breakers as designated and provided by the department.

  • Cross-sells other outlets, promotions, events, and entertainment and assists guests by giving directions and answering questions in a friendly manner.

  • Collaborates with other departments in a cooperative manner to ensure excellent service to all guests.

  • Assists injured guests and applies first aid as necessary until professional medical assistance arrives.

  • Checks identification of guests to ensure only those 21 years of age and older are allowed in gaming area.

  • Patrols, monitors and observes casino and surrounding areas and parking garage for disturbances, crimes, fire hazards and undesirable persons.

  • Escorts team members with money to designated area.

  • Completes security related reports and keeps supervisor informed of all fire and safety hazards.

  • Stays current on all Harrah’s and Security Departmental policies and procedures and completes continual department training as required.

Job Qualifications


  • High school degree or equivalent and previous demonstrated success in law enforcement or medical profession.


  • Fluency and literacy in English.

  • Team Player with excellent customer service skills and a commitment to success.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, computer skills and math skills, including the ability to complete accurate security reports on the computer.

  • Must have the ability to operate security related computer programs.

  • Excellent collaboration skills to coordinate well with other departments.

  • Listening skills to understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences over two-way radio and in person.

  • Capable of maintaining composure during difficult guest interactions and checking for satisfaction to ensure guest happiness.

  • Proximity to moving mechanical parts may be required.

  • Must obtain CARE Card from approved State of Nevada Alcohol Educational Awareness Training provider.

  • Must be able to qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

  • Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business

  • Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. 

  • Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures


  • Mobility skills to move quickly and easily around the Reno property in response to emergency situations.

  • Agility skills to include occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, twisting, and turning.

  • Dexterity skills to include constant reaching, handling, working with fingers, and hand coordination.

  • Ability to deal with violent situations by verbally defusing the situation or by physical restraint.

  • Must have the ability to distinguish between normal routine sounds and sounds indicating impending, improper or unacceptable behaviors and situations such as altercations, fights, assaults, accidents, injuries, and life safety emergencies.

  • Respond to visual and aural cues.

  • Must have the ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

  • Must have the ability to sit, write, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.

  • Must be capable of working indoors or outdoors during all seasons, including unusually hot, cold, smoky, and/or dimly lit areas.

  • Must be able to work in a “smoke-filled” environment and tolerate loud noises and bright lights.
